OSB

OSB, or Oriented Strand Boards, is a wood-based panel with oriented, flat chips, which is made by pressing wood flakes, usually spruce or pine, at very high temperature, and pressure. OSB boards are characterized by a low formaldehyde content and consist of three layers. The outer layers are arranged parallel to the board axis, and the middle layers are arranged perpendicularly to the longitudinal edges of the board. The special structure of the OSB board ensures excellent usability, such as high durability of the material, homogeneity, resistance to mechanical damage, as well as specific elasticity, shape stability, and stiffness. The functionality of the boards is improved by substances and resins added during production – they constitute up to 10% of the final composition of the board.
